About

about Secrets des Coquettes is a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog where I also write about my travels and my personal style. Here you will find all the pretty little things that both inspire and fascinate as well as ideas and tips that I hope are useful to you.

All this started in 2009. I had just finished a makeup artist course and one in style photography. My friend Mymy had moved to Paris just a few months previously and every time we talked she would go on about how much I would love to live in Paris. So I packed my bags and off I went, even though I knew hardly any French. I found a job immediately for an on-line shop where I was in charge of the photo shoots: choosing the models, the setting, the makeup, the hair style… To be honest I didn’t know much about photography, but I felt I could learn fast and thanks to that I realized how much I loved it. A year and a half later I started the blog so I could share my pictures, my videos, my ideas and my way of seeing the world with all the coquettes that wanted to pass by my blog.

I have returned to Madrid since, at least for the moment. I am currently attending college studying for a degree in Translation (English, French and Japanese) because apart from beauty and fashion my other passion has always been languages. In regards to the blog it has come a long way. I started writing it in French and now it’s in three languages, although I don’t do all the translating myself. The English version is done by my friend and translator Clarisa Ros. The most noteworthy accomplishment is that it has now become my job. A day doesn’t go by that I don’t feel privileged, because I find it very rewarding and it gives me great pleasure. When I made my first video with no tripod and my camera standing on a pile of books I never thought for one moment that I would come so far. Not for a second did I imagine that this blog would bring me so much joy, satisfaction and so many opportunities. I have been lucky enough to have been able to collaborate with Givenchy, Shiseido, Dior and L’Oréal among other big brands. Every spare moment I have I dedicate to this space, the videos and you my followers. I thank you for taking the time to read me, watch me and for all the support you have given me. Without you, my dearest coquettes, none of this would have been possible.

Love,
Sara
